HeroSync World Overview

HeroSync is a game set in two worlds. The first is a futuristic version of Earth. In this future, for fun, people play HeroSync as a digital consciousness dive experience.

They visit a facility in which they can fuse their consciousness with that of a legendary Hero from a different world; a process known as “HeroSync”. Players Sync with a Hero right before a historic battle that will shape the future of that world. HeroSync is enjoyed like gladiators in a coliseum. Huge arenas built to exhibit “Challengers”, who each take on opposite sides of these incredible battles. Challengers believe that HeroSync is a game for entertainment set in a digital world. In the real world, Herosync is a game created by “The Organization”, a giant corporation that built its fortune on the game of HeroSync.

The other world is set in a High fantasy setting, a world with many different races and Magic. Unknown to the challengers is that they are more than just playing a game, when they “HeroSync”. They actually have their consciousness link with real beings from the other world, right before battles that will have lasting consequences. To the citizens of this other world, these moments to them are considered divine intervention: where a Hero’s true powers can be unlocked with the help of the “gods”. The longer the conflict goes on, the more powerful the sync becomes, increasing the Sync Rating between the Hero and the Challenger, allowing heroes to call on stronger Warriors to their aid, or use increasingly devastating Magic. Once dust has settled for these conflicts, it is up to the citizens of this world to continue their lives, bury their dead, and rebuild their homes.

“The Organization” is a mysterious corporation, their leaders identities are a mystery to all and their secret of interfering with another worlds destiny is unknown to the public, innocently thinking it’s only a game with nothing on the line except glory and riches. Perhaps the darkest secret of all is not the how of HeroSync’ss creation, but the why?
